Hello October
See you later September, Hello October!
The month of September has been crazy busy for most people and I am no exception. I started the month receiving more training for Himalayan Singing Bowls at a beautiful retreat in Estes Park with my teacher, Serun, along with special guests and other Singing Bowl Healers.
Next was Firefly Handmade Artisan Market in Boulder selling my malas and mala bracelets. These are such incredible pieces that are not only beautiful but carry the vibrational frequency of the mantras which I infuse into them as I design, create and hand knots the malas. They carry and incredible energy to help you in your meditation, devotion, give you inspiration, and set your intentions. I had such a great time meeting people and teaching them about what I do and create. I even brought my beautiful full moon Himalayan Singing Bowl and gave people a taste of the sound healing experience.
I followed this up with my annual Womenheart retreat in Arizona with my mentor and Kundalini Yoga Teacher Sangeet. We spent an incredible four days doing sadhana outside along the edge of a cliff. We learned more about the Blessings Code Numerology and what we can expect in the up coming year. I also had the opportunity to assist an incredible Himalayan Singing Bowl Healer, Guru Bachan with a Singing Bowl Concert for all the women. I am sad to say that after 25 years this will be the last Womenheart retreat. But the incredible women and my teachers will be in my heart and in my life forever.
I am now teaching two classes at the new beautiful yoga studio Ra Ma Boulder. Sundays 5pm-6:30pm for Kundalini Yoga & Meditation with Himalayan Singing Bowls. Mondays 2pm-2:45pm for Clear Mind Meditation with Himalayan Singing Bowls. Just register on website Ra Ma Boulder and please come join me for a class.
There are new and incredible things happening at True Bliss Living and the True Bliss Boutique. The website is constantly being updated and find tuned to serve you better. There are several new malas, mala bracelets, and my favorite new member essential oil defusing mala bracelets. There are big things in the works for the upcoming Holiday season along with some Holiday Discounts so keep a look out in the next newsletter.

Happy Birthday to Yogi Bhajan
Happy Birthday to Yogi Bhajan, my beloved teacher!
I woke up this morning at 2:45am to make it to the new incredible yoga studio RAMA Boulder. There was a special morning sadhana with Sukhraj (Trista) and Guru Jagat who is honoring us from California (RAMA Venice) to celebrate and honor Yogi Bhajan's Birthday. Sadhana began this morning at 3:30am with recitation of Japi then at 4:00 am we joined the simultaneous worldwide Guru Ram Das Chant, followed by a Kundalini Yoga warm-up set and a 2 1/2 hour chant of Long Ek Ong Kars.
The combination of being Yogi Bhajan's birthday today, all the work that went into the opening of the new RAMA Boulder studio and the Kundalini Yoga community in Boulder coming together, it was a powerful morning Sadhana. RAMA Boulder is instantly becoming a place where our community can come to celebrate, learn and grow together. All week there are special classes with the full schedule beginning on Monday August 31, 2015. Please come and enjoy one of the many classes taught by Sukhraj, myself and other incredible teachers. Please check out the RAMA Boulder Schedule and I hope to see you in one of my classes.
I am truly blessed to have found the practice of Kundalini Yoga. It has changed my life to have learned this incredible technology that was brought to us by Yogi Bhajan. I have had the honor of learning from the best teachers here in Boulder, in Phoenix, and now from Venice, California. I have made so many friends through this experience and truly feel a part of a community. My body, mind, soul, and heart have opened to who I am, the strengths and gives I hold, my path in this world, and all the the miracles that surround me.
Happy Birthday Yogi Bhajan and thank you!
Sat Nam
One who loves, loves all not the one. When you love, all the one loves you because you are the one. Learn to love and love has no territory. Who has territory has not learned love because how can unlimited become limited. Love is God my dear, God is love and God and love cannot be separated. With love you find God. And how can you be limited and be God. Because God is unlimited. But in our limited life, with our jealousies and insecurity we want we to be loved alone and none else. We want to be respected alone, and none else. Only those shall be respected who respect all. Those shall be loved who love all. Those shall be given who give all. Those will have the share who share with all.

True Bliss Sound Therapy
I am so lucky to be playing these lovely Himalayan singing bowls for my clients! I spent today in the back yard taking pictures of my special singing bowls. Even taking a break to play them in my garden. It was very grounding and a phenomenal way to connect to nature.
As I offer individual private True Bliss Sound Healing to my clients I am feel blessed at seeing the benefits. I have loved the sound of singing bowls most of life, enjoying them through recordings only. Then last year I experienced by first singing bowl concert where I could not only enjoy the sound of the singing bowls but be healed by both their sound and vibrations. The experience was transforming, healing and meditative. I was hooked! Having the opportunity now to play and use them to heal others is truly a spiritual and moving gift.

Grain-free Kimchi Fried Rice
For two weeks living in New York City, we got to enjoy a lot of incredible food. But the best were the ones my sister cooked for us. She made these incredible Korean dinners that we so enjoyed. She cooks Korean food almost on a daily basis which totally inspires me. So my first night back in Boulder I find myself craving Korean food. Since the rest of my family is still in New York I wanted a quick Korean dish. I also wanted something a bit more clean and light because I have been eating so heavy this month. So this is my Grain-free Kimchi Fried Rice which still give me flavor but still light and easily digestible.
Slow Roasted Pork with Veggies
I have been super busy getting ready for Firefly Market in May where I will be selling my mala and other creations. It's my first time selling at an event so there are lots to do. I have been working hard but I still want the kids and hubby to have a good dinner. This is a super easy dish. You just have to place all the ingredients in an oven safe pot and slow roast it in the oven at 275 degrees until the pork is fully cooked. I left in the oven for about 4 hours. I prepared all the ingredients in the afternoon, this took about 10 minutes. Then just simply put it in the oven until it was time to eat.
3-4 lbs Pork Butt
2 sliced onion
4 carrots cut into thick slices
2 apples
Salt and Pepper
My Personal Sadhana
As I am going through my Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. I have incorporated a more committed daily yoga and meditation practice. Today is such a beautiful day so I decided to move my practice outside on my balcony. Here is what my space looks like and the beautiful view I have as I sit on my lotus meditation cushion. This is True Bliss Living at its best!
Lotus Meditation Cushions
More and more I am falling in love with my daily meditation practice and experiencing the benefits it brings me, to my life and that of our family. I even now hold a certification to teach an Introduction to Meditation workshop. Look for these workshops in the near future.
As it is known I love to get crafty and creative. Last year I came across a very unique cushion at a women's retreat, one I had never seen before. It was so cute! More importantly it was so useful! Of course I came straight home and tried to figure out how to make it myself instead of purchasing it. Especially since these are not your usual meditation cushions and are not easily found. Since then I have sold over a dozen and working towards updating my website to provide these lotus meditations cushions to everyone.
These cushions are not only unique in there design but help your posture and supports your body for your meditation or yoga practice. You sit in the center with one of the petals between your legs lifting you up a few inches off the ground. The other petals gently wrap around supporting your hips, tailbone and lower back. You can move around the organic buckwheat hull filling to give you support where you specifically need it most. These cushions are a perfect addition to help you in your practice.
Since I am not a computer person and a bit behind in setting up the store portion of my website I am currently only taking orders via email or phone. I offer two main sizes large and medium. And will be offering a few in the small (child) and tiny sizes periodically.
I love making them and love knowing I am helping to facilitate more people to incorporating a meditative practice into their everyday life. It is a lifestyle practice that is truly helpful in bringing bliss into your life.
Sweet Potato for Breakfast?
I have a love of everything sweet potato. It doesn't matter how you prepare it, I will eat it! Last night I baked some sweet potatoes for dinner in the oven so I decided to roast an extra one for my lunch today. But this morning, as I was making breakfast for my kids and I saw the extra sweet potato, my mouth watered and my culinary creativity perked up. You can call this a porridge or a pudding it doesn't matter as long as you enjoy eating it.
I love a good oatmeal or porridge for breakfast but more and more my body does not react well to grains of all kinds, gluten free or not. I often say "I love grains and dairy, they just don't always love me back." Although cow dairy seems to cause issues for me goat dairy does not so I have been experimenting more and more with goat dairy in my diet. My True Eating approach is to rotate my diet and limit those foods that don't love me back. With True Bliss Living as a goal it's always good to remember to release those things in our lives that do not serve us.
This recipe turns your plain baked sweet potato into a creamy and smooth porridge that you can enjoy at breakfast, as a snack, or a great side dish. It was quick to make minus the baking time. But more importantly it is heaven to eat and enjoy.
Sweet Potato Porridge Recipe
1 large baked sweet potato, peeled
1 tablespoon coconut oil or grass-fed butter
1/2 cup goat milk or non-dairy milk
Top with (optional):
pecans or other nuts you desire
rasins
drizzle of maple syrup
a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice
Blend the first three ingredients in a blender until smooth. Play around with the goat or non-dairy milk to get the consistency you desire, you may need more or less then what is listed above. Spoon the porridge into a bowl and top with your desired toppings. Most importantly, sit, eat and enjoy!
